Lily James

I fell in love with Lily as soon as I saw her in “Downton Abbey” and I’ve been following her work ever since.

She is such a lovely, funny and adorable person! In Cinderella she was so good and I can’t wait to see her in “Baby Driver”!

Her style is always very sophisticated, classy and at the same time innovative.

I love her grungy looks when she wears a super bold dark eyeshadow and a nude lipstick.

It’s her trademark look and I love it.

Another one of my favourite looks she wore is this winged liner with a silvery eyeshadow and a soft pink lipstick.

It’s so simple and yet bold. It suits her so much. Even if usually her go-to colour tone is warm, she can pull off cool-toned shades too.

But that doesn’t mean she can wear an amazing bold lipstick like in this picture from the Cinderella London Premiere.

So yeah, I love Lily.

I hope you like this post and let me know your favourite look of hers.

Kerry Washington

Kerry Washington on the red carpet is always on point. Always super classy and edgy.

Lead actress on ABC’s “Scandal”, Kerry is one of the few african american women who are protagonists of their own show and she starred in HBO’s “Confirmation”, a show about Anita Hill, a women who had the courage to come forward with accusations of sexual assaults against Clarence Thomas at his Supreme Court nomination hearings.

She is such a model for strong independent women.

Since we are here to talk about beauty, let’s go!

Kerry has always glow-y and flawless skin and either a bright lip or a very natural finish. This first picture is from the magazine “InStyle” and the makeup artist who did her makeup wrote:

HyperFocal: 0

“To create healthy and even skin on Kerry, I used Neutrogena Healthy Skin Foundation in Cocoa,” said Gonzalez. “Then, to make her skin even more radiant, I rubbed Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch Sunscreen SPF 30 against my fingers and dabbed it over her cheekbones, forehead, chin, and nose bridge. This sunscreen, in particular, has a sheen to it. For the bold, burgundy look I used Neutrogena MoistureSmooth Color Stick in Deep Plum and layered it with Charlotte Tilbury’s lipstick in Glastonberry to create a certain shade,” she said. Meanwhile, for the “almost-bare” lip look, the makeup artist “dabbed Neutrogena’s MoistureSmooth Color Stick in Warm Caramel to match Kerry’s lip tone and add some moisture.

I love her in these photos. She looks flawless! She has a natural glow that makes her look like a Goddess!

Another one of her look I adore is this one she wore at the 2017 Golden Globes. I love the minimal eye makeup and the big lashed paired up with the purple lipstick.

Absolutely gorgeous!

Purple is a colour I never wear but I have recently bought an Essence Matt Matt Matt lipstick in the shade 07 and I definitely have to start wearing it during fall. I’m not sure I can pull it off, though.

MAC’s Instagram Favourites

I’ve been toying with this idea for a while. I’ve been following makeup brand’s Instagram accounts for a while now and they post incredibly pictures of different looks.

Most of them are too polished and fake. Don’t get me wrong. When people completely transform their faces and conform to the same standard that makes them look all identical, I can’t really stand it.

If you follow or know about makeup artists Nic and Sam Chapman, that’s the kind of approach I love. Both of them have repeatedly said they like that smudgy, imperfect style and that’s what I’m a fan of.

Instagram makeup is not really my cup of tea.

One of the things I absolutely adore, though, are editorial looks. Put some weird colours and creative shapes on a model and I’m in.

With this post, I wanted to highlight the fun and mostly non-wearable looks that I wouldn’t mind having of my own face. Even if they don’t suit me.

These four looks are not particularly out there, but they caught my eye and I wanted to share them with people, so… here they are!

These are the kind of colours I LOVE wearing of my eyes and even though for a day-to-day basis it’s too much, I’ll love to have the time and the skill to pull this off!

This look is so basic without the blue lashes but it’s actually something I can wear and it’s pretty similar to what I do every day. I love the brown eye with the yellowish undertones and the blue mascara give the entire look a colourful and fun vibe.

If I could, I’d wear this everyday.

Although I’m not a huge fun of metallic makeup, this stunning look by russian artist Anastasia Plotnikova is something I would definitely wear to a party of a night out.

I am in love with the khaki green with gold reflexes! So stunning! And paired with the metallic silver is just magnificent. Next time I want to do a different look, I’ll try to recreate this. I already know it’s not going to come out great!

And last but not least, this look is from the Italian MAC’s Instagram account. The products are not in the description and I HATE glossy lip but this was too stunning to be left unmentioned.

Hope you liked this quick post and that it inspired you to be bolder in your makeup choices, because it is exactly what it did to me.

I would love to know your favourite looks to recreate, either from MAC or from another brand.

100th Post! – Emilia Clarke

In honour of season 7’s finale which aired last Sunday, I wanted to shed a light on Emilia Clarke and her wonderful makeup.

She is such a wonderful actress and has always promoted equal pay for men and women in the cinematic industry. In an interview she said: “I have mascara on my eyes and a high IQ. These two things can go together”.

She has said that even if she has appeared naked on the show multiple time, it doesn’t mean she is not a femminist.

So yeah, I really like her! And also, her red carpet look is always flawless!

Her skin is clear and smooth and thanks to a hint of bronzer and blush, it looks like she is not wearing any makeup. Her go-to look is loads of mascara, perfect bushy eyebrows, light shimmery eyeshadow and a soft pink lipstick.

The next two photos are from the Golden Globe’s red carpet and the “Vanity Fair Oscar After-Party”.

And a darker pink:

Another look I adore on her is the purple lipstick! It’s not something I would personally go for, but I think it really suits her.

And of course the bold red lipstick:

Hope you enjoyed this post! I definitely had fun writing it!

Have you seen the finale? What did you think about it? Also, do you have a favourite Emilia Clarke look? PLEASE, let me know and let’s discuss!

p.s. As you can see from the title, it’s my 100th post on this blog!!! Yay!!
