February & March Favourites 2020!

These have been tough months. I’m not going to sugarcoat it: quarantine is hard. But I know you’ve been hearing about COVID-19 non-stop so, at least in this blog post, I’m not going to talk about it.

Please, please stay at home. Don’t go out. And wash your hands.

While this whole pandemic has been going on around the world, I’ve been trying to live my life as normally as I can and that means: being entertained by literally anything.

My goal for 2020 was to change some stuff around on my blog and build a small following of TV lovers. So here I am, talking about everything I’ve loved in these past two months!

And read until the end to find out what my weirdest obssession of the month is!

Sometimes, even I need a break from television and YouTube has been my go-to site for ages. Lately (and for the last… 5 years? 4 years?) I’ve been really enjoying Emma’s channel: “Emmas Rectangle“. She does great beauty tutorials and in the past few months, she’s been vlogging a lot, posting a weekly vlog every Sunday.

She has a calming presence and she’s living a normal life. I don’t enjoy watching people in their mansions doing stuff. I prefer watching normal people and Emma is the best!

Surprise surprise… it’s the new Harry Styles album! Among the favourites: Canyon Moon, Watermelon Sugar and Falling!

I got tickets in November to see him this May, but due to COVID-19, he had to postpone and I’ll be seeing him live in February 2021.

If you’ve been reading my blog for a while (and let’s face it, nobody has), you’ll have heard me talk about my love for Pod Save America and the Crooked Media gang!

They launched a new pod some months ago called “What a Day“, hosted by Akilah Hughes and Gideon Resnick. It’s a 15-minute podcast that talks about the event of the day and I’m obsessed with it.

It’s very easy, educating and fun! Highly recommend!

I’ve read these two books recently and I really enjoyed them! The cultural and social impact of “She Said” was one of the many reasons I decided to pick up this book and read more about brave women coming forward with their stories of abuse and assault. “Over the top” is a book I did not expect to like as much as I did but some chapters had me in tears.

She Said by Jodi Kantor and Megan Twohey.

Knives Out

THIS MOVIE WAS AMAZING! I loved the mystery, I loved the characters, I loved how dramatic it was! LOVED IT. Can’t recommend enough!

And now, my favourite part: TELEVISION!

I recently wrote a blog post detailing all the shows I’ve been watching so if you want more in depth reviews, check that out! And back in the middle of February, I wrote down my watchlist for the month and things did not go according to plan.

But here they are!

A Million Little Things

The Bold Type

Schitt’s Creek

Killing Eve – Season 2 Episode 8

I’m so happy I waited and didn’t watch this show as it came out because I would not have been able to handle the hiatus between seasons. This was both horrifying and AMAZING. A great season finale!

Schitt’s Creek – Season 6 Episode 7

This episode was PERFECT! From Moira and David getting super wasted to Johnny and Patrick’s moment, this was one of Schitt’s Creek best episode.

Riverdale – Season 4 Episode 16

Ok. This was not a “best episode” worthy episode. Let me clarify. But this felt like Riverdale’s season 4’s best and I had to include it in the list. I was weirdly susprised by it! I ACTUALLY LIKED IT! *in Jonathan Van Ness’ voice* Can you believe?!

Most of my rewatches are comedies, those lighthearted episodes that make you feel happy and content. So it should come to no surprise that I rewatched some of The Office and all of One Day At A Time, to refresh my memory on what had happened before the season 4 premiere.

And because in a couple of weeks Modern Family will be over, I started watching again my favourite seasons: n^ 4 and 5.

On Instagram, I follow “The New Yorker” and their cartoons are HILARIOUS. I am obsessed with them and I always share them in my stories. I love them. Here are a few I loved:
