MY BABIES ARE BACK!
IT’S BROOKLYN NINE NINE TIME!
I had so much fun watching the season 7 premiere. I can’t even wrap my mind around the fact that it’s back!
AND THEY’VE ALREADY BEEN PICKED UP FOR AN EIGHT SEASON!!!!
Now, let’s get into the actual episode!
Dear Dan Goor and the writers,
Please, please, please, PLEASE let Vanessa Bayer be a recurring guest star because her character is AMAZING!
There’s a man on the loose and The Squad is on the ground to catch him. The only problem is: Former Capitain and now Beat Cop Raymond Holt is there, taking orders from Jake and it’s hella weird.
He is not okay.
And Jake is making it even more weird. To be fair, Boyle’s manhunter song was ON POINT…
While Holt, Jake, Charles and Debbie (Vanessa Bayer) are trying to make it through, Amy, Rosa, and Terry are dealing with A LOT.
Terry spends the entire episode scared of people talking behind his back while Amy freaks out about maybe being pregnant and confides in Rosa. Things get uncomfortable for them.
Even Hitchcock and Scully had amazing lines: I mean… of course they would know everything about Hot Dog Vendors. They’re the experts.
At the end of the episode they, of course, catch the criminal but not without some shenanigans.
Debbie loves picking up cones and she’s scared of literally everything but it turns out, her reason for becoming a cop is mind-blowing:
AND FOR ALL THE PERALTIAGO FANS…
Turns out, Amy wasn’t pregnant at all but… HER AND JAKE ARE GONNA START TRYING FOR A BABY!!!
The whole episode was a delight. I was so relaxed going into the episode: I have total faith in the writers and the showrunner so I knew it was going to be GREAT.
It felt good being back in the 99. I was talking to my friend about trying not to watch too much Brooklyn99 so that we won’t get bored and sick of it.
No matter how much you love a show, if you watch the same episodes day after day you will eventually be fed up with it.
I can quote some of these episodes by heart and this show still brings me so much joy.
Jake calling Holt “dad” is so heart-warming
This show shutters toxic masculinity to pieces and I love it.
How thrilled are you that Brooklyn99 is back?! Thoughts on this episode?
