Guess What I’m Watching This Summer! – Part 1

No matter how many shows I watch, there is always more. Over the year, I’ve collected a note document on my phone with all the show I didn’t have the time to get to during the September-May period.

I have a fully packed schedule with 1 to 6 episodes coming out everyday and I already spend way to much time in front of my computer.

Last summer I did the exact same thing, bringing lots of shows on my holiday at the beach (Part 1 & Part 2) but this year, I decided to compile a list of all the shows I’m planning on watching this summer! And I colour coded it! Pink for Drama and Green for Comedy!

Do you have a list? Are there any shows you are looking forward to watching?

Fosse / Verdon

This FX series intrigued me. And not just because Lin-Manuel Miranda is an executive producer.

It’s mainly because of Lin. And Aya Cash. (You’re The Worst, I miss you.)

It’s about the problematic lives of Bob Fosse, director and choreographer and Gwen Verdon, one of the greatest Broadway dancers.

I know nothing about this. Nothing. Just like when I went in the two American Crime Story seasons, People VS O.J. Simpson and The Assassination of Gianni Versace.

I’ve heard great reviews of this show I’m giving it a go.

Details: FX, Drama, 1 Season

I started Veep back in the days, then I started the rewatch a month ago and I haven’t seen a single episode since. I still can’t believe I haven’t been spoiled anything!

Veep is a dry comedy about Selina Meyer, Vice President of the US and her political journey along with the horrible people she works with.

I’m gonna be 100% honest: I don’t always get Veep. I get it but I don’t get the jokes fast enough and it all moves so quickly.

You can’t help but root for some of these really really really horrible people. What I love about it is that they says jokes (which are mostly insensitive and horrific) in such a serious tone!

I’m looking forward to watch how it all unfolds!

Details: HBO, Comedy, 7 seasons

Schitt’s Creek

I feel like I’m the only person on Earth who hasn’t seen this show. I go on Twitter and people are talking about this show, I go on Tumblr and I see gifs and I even listen to my favourite podcast “Lovett Or Leave It” and they talk about this show!

I feel left out! And so I’ve decided to start it this summer and binge it like nobody’s watching.

Just like with Fosse/Verdon, I know nothing about this show, Jon Snow style. I know it’s written by Dan and Eugene Levy and that’s it.

IMDb says: “When rich video-store magnate Johnny Rose and his family suddenly find themselves broke, they are forced to leave their pampered lives to regroup in Schitt’s Creek.”

It sounds like so much fun and I can’t wait to get lost in their lives and shenanigans.

Details: CBS, Comedy, 5 Seasons (Renewed for a 6th and final season)

Veronica Mars

I have never seen this show. Never ever. I used to catch it sometimes on TV years ago but I never got into it.

But now that I feel in love with Kristen Bell and Hulu is doing the revival, I feel like I have to watch it.

The show is about a high schooler, Veronica Mars, who is also a private detective who solves the mysteries in the town on Neptune. It seems weird, mid 2000s and yet.. I want to watch it.

I don’t know what I’m gettin myself into, but I’m here for the ride.

Details: UPN, The CW, Hulu, Drama, 3 Seasons

Here is part 1 of my list! Do you have a list of shows you’re planning on binge watching this summer?

Have you seen any of these shows and if so, do you recommend them? Let me know in the comments or….

Tweet at me, find me on Tumblr or send me an email.

    1. I saw glimpses of VM on Tv when I was growing up but never really got into it. It was on a weird times during the day.
I’ve heard so many people talk about how good Schitt’s Creek is that I knew I had to wait until I had some time and binge it all in a couple of days during the summer!

  2. Also I saw you had Good Girls on your thing too. Just started that this year and already binge watched it all. Soooo good
