It happened. You guys. It happened.
I can’t believe it.
I made the unfortunate mistake of opening Twitter and I was a little bit spoiled but IT WAS SO GOOD!
But this is an episode review, not a Darvey freakout. For that you’ll have to wait a couple more days as it is in the process of being written. And I freak out so bad in it.
She. Was. Not. In. The. Episode.
They just needed her for that fucking stupid storyline with Brian. And this:
Just in case you forgot.
Samantha and Robert
So… the Louis mugging in episode 4 (thanks Vickster51 for reminding me) was written in the show because the same thing happened to Samantha and they needed to introduce his backstory in order for Robert Zane to sacrifice himself at the end.
That’s it. You don’t need to know more. I don’t care about the rest.
Because it’s not clear. I might have not paid A LOT of attention but… oh well!
So Robert ends up being disbarred, in order to rectify a wrong and help his firm.
Good for him. I’m sorry for Samantha! To her, Robert was what Jessica was to Harvey, a mentor. Someone she could totally rely on.
So are they changing the name again? It’s hilarious this show can’t keep its firm’s name straight. I love it. I used to hate it but I’ve learnt to embrace it.
Harvey, Louis, Donna (and Alex)
Harvey told Donna who told Thomas before Harvey could tell Donna not to tell Thomas.
Say it out loud as fast as you can! GO!
Long story short, they are trying to stop Hardman from suing them for breaching of contract and Harvey breaking privilege.
At least they are presenting a united front against this asshole. I mean, it’s been a long time… why is Hardman still trying to take revenge on Jessica kicking him out? LET IT GO, MAN!!!
Hardman played dirty and he has Harvey in the palm of his hand: he asks him to put his name back on the door and for Harvey to resign. I loved Harvey’s smashing-of-the-glass-on-the-wall scene with a nice “motherfucker!” yelled at the top of his lungs. Let’s get to the important part.
Then Harvey goes to talk to Thomas, trying to use Donna to convince him to “protect her”. And commit perjury.
The hearing happens, Robert gets disbarred yadi yadi I don’t care…
BUT HARVEY REALISES HIS FEELINGS!?! WHAAAAAAAT??!!
Basically, everybody in the firm nudges him in the right direction! Alex talks to Donna about loving “him” and the fact she told Thomas about pushing Harvey away and moving on from him.
Robert turned him down for that burger and chose to go home to his wife and Alex, acting like the Mike Ross and Darvey shipping stan of the situation, literally says:
I need to go home to the woman I loveAlex William
AND THEN HE HAS A REVELATION! YOU CAN SEE IT IN HIS FACE!!!
HE EVEN STARTS RUNNING!!! I FUCKING RUNS TOWARDS APARTMENT 206.
AND THEN BAM!
IT HAPPENED!!!! I’M SHOOK!!!
I THOUGHT THIS WAS NEVER GOING TO HAPPEN. OR IF IT DID, IT WOULD HAVE BEEN IN THE LAST SECOND OF THE LAST EPISODE OF THE FINAL SEASON
… and now I want season 9. Immediately.
I’ll leave you with this gem by Mr Patrick J Adams.
Do you think the dynamic of the office will change? Will we go back to having more banter between the two of them? Will Patrick J Adams come back? We know Meghan Markle can’t….
That’s it! I can’t believe I’ve actually reviewed every episode in season 8! Bu I’ll be back ranting about Suits before you know it!
An all Darvey opinion piece is coming your way soon! And probably more! Let me know if there’s a topic you’d like me to cover!
